WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?
The following excerpts are just a guide for you to consider, study and pray about as you seek a personal reconciliation with God.
Acts 2:36-39
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that
same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
[37] Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto
Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? [38]
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost. [39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all
that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
John 6:28-29
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
[29] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe
on him whom he hath sent.
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto
the Father, but by me.
John 3:16-20
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent
not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him
might be saved.
[18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten
Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the
world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
[20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the
light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
John 20:30-31
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are
not written in this book: [31] But these are written, that ye might believe that
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life
through his name.
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 2:4
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord.
Romans 10:9-10, 13
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10]
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation. . . . [13] For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved.
The Bible verses provided above give but a brief outline of what God says you
must do to be saved from His wrath and be reconciled to Him in His Peace. I
would hope that you would use these scriptures as a starting place to seek God's
goodness to transform your life for good. I also believe that in these few
verses, there is sufficient truth for you to be reconciled with God NOW and my
prayer for you who are seeking that peace is that by the power of God's Spirit,
He will reveal Himself and His will for you even right now as your read these
verses above and grant you understanding and courage to make a pledge with your
mouth that Jesus and only Jesus is now your Lord and that you will find and
respond to the belief that He places in your heart that God has raised Jesus
from the grave. If you will truly make that pledge and believe, then
you can trust God to keep His end of
the promise . . . that you shall be saved.
